His wife, Mara Hennessey, shared this with Fox News Digital. “David has been living with stage 4 cancer for years,” she said. “He has had chemo, radiation, immunotherapy, and surgery.
He faced all the side effects and challenges of the treatments with strength and humor.” She added that David’s wife and daughter have supported him. He has kept his struggles private to spare his friends and fans. “He’s always been this way,” she said.
Hennessey joked, “He says it’s because he’s half Norwegian.”
