But the rest of the movie is the cast playing young adults. Production breaks also allow the actors to age naturally and the VFX team time to develop the technology necessary to bring the saga to its final act.
Cameron Received only two words in his email from the studio after submission of Avatar 4 script, ‘Holy fuck.’ and after that the question arises:
“Cameron asked, ‘So… where are the notes’? The executive said, ‘That is the note.’”
This suggests that the response was overwhelming and it was not just good – it was earthshattering and they were left speechless and in wonder at how audacious and brilliant it was. A moment that shakes up expectations and stays with you long after that.
For now, everything is about 19 December 2025. The Ash People are coming, and if history is any indicator, James Cameron is poised to prove the doubters wrong.

The setup is ruinously straightforward. Lorenz “Larry” Hart (an electric Ethan Hawke), the brilliant, jaded lyricist half of the legendary Rodgers and Hart team, is holding up the bar at Sardi’s.
Just across the street, his one-time soul mate and partner, Richard Rodgers, is debuting Oklahoma! with another partner, Oscar Hammerstein II. Hart must wait in the limbo of the restaurant, the muted applause he can hear is the sound of him being made redundant.

The brilliance of Blue Moon is that it knows how to wait. According to The Guardian, Linklater and Hawke had been thinking about this film for more than ten years. Linklater famously told Hawke years ago,
“I’ll wait 10 years,”
Knowing the actor had to age into the role. To play the battered, gnome-like figure of the 47-year-old Hart, a guy worn down by drink and depression, he had to lose his youthful boyishness.

Significantly, she is also one of the few who actually managed to “retire” and live to tell the tale. That is the essential tension at the center of The Bluff: Ercell has found her peace, but as Ching Shih knew, your past is a shadow that never quite goes away.
Referred to as “Back from the Dead Red,” the biography of Jacquotte Delahaye is survival at its highest degree. faked her death to get away from the government, and then came back to the water with a vengeance.
This motif of “reanimation” is at The Bluff’s heart. Ercell is essentially “dead” to her former life until the wicked Captain Connor arrives and she must once again embrace her warrior spirit.
