That response is indicative of the confusion among the audience – if the actor believes it’s a joke, the story build-up clearly wasn’t there.
Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has admitted that the cast was “f—ing exhausted.” The final season was 11 months in the making. The “Long Night” battle required 55 nights of shooting in a row in freezing mud. When all was said and done, the actors were physically and emotionally drained.
